The Rotary Aquaspeed brand is delighted to announce that it has selected Lesley Roberts and Lloyd Cosby as brand ambassadors for the duration of the Clipper 11-12 Round The World Yacht Race. Rotary Aquaspeed is positioning itself as the brand of choice for ordinary individuals that are looking to achieve extraordinary things. For 2011, it is embracing a new direction and is adhering to an ethos of “expanding your horizons”. For this reason it is the ideal partner for the Clipper Race where novice sailors take to the seas and battle the elements in a bid to reach the finish line and achieve their own personal goals.
Commenting on Lesley and Lloyd’s appointment, Victoria Campbell, Managing Director at Rotary Watches, says:
“We are extremely excited by the year ahead and are very fortunate that we will be able to experience all the action and excitement of the race from the perspective of two crew members. Both Lesley and Lloyd were selected as Rotary ambassadors for their fantastic personalities and their true passion for the sport. We are very grateful that we are able to share their experiences with our customers and consumers and hope that it will serve as inspiration to new, potential Clipper Race applicants.”
The Clipper Race was founded by sailing legend Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, the first man to sail solo and non-stop around the world in 1968-69.
Sir Robin says, “Lloyd and Lesley are joining more than 2,500 people who have made the Clipper experience a turning point in their lives. The Clipper 11-12 Race will add 500 more to that group who have gone out and dared – and come back more fulfilled, self assured and confident in themselves as a result.”
